राघव-रावणयोः घोर-द्वैरथ-युद्धम्

ततःप्रवृत्तंसुक्रूरंरामरावणयोस्तदा ।सुमहदद्वैरथंयुद्धंसर्वलोकभयावहम् ।।6.109.1।।
tataḥ pravṛttaṃ sukrūraṃ rāmarāvaṇayos tadā | sumahad dvairathaṃ yuddhaṃ sarvalokabhayāvaham ||
तब राम और रावण के बीच अत्यन्त क्रूर, विशाल रथ-युद्ध आरम्भ हुआ, जो समस्त लोकों में भय उत्पन्न करने वाला था।
