विश्वामित्रस्य तपोविघ्नः, मेनकाप्रसङ्गः, महर्षिपदप्रदानम्

Visvamitra’s Austerity Obstructed; Menaka Episode; Conferment of Maharshi Status

बुद्धिर्मुनेस्समुत्पन्ना सामर्षा रघुनन्दन।सर्वं सुराणां कर्मैतत्तपोपहरणं महत्।।।।

buddhir munes samutpannā sāmarṣā raghunandana | sarvaṃ surāṇāṃ karmaitat tapo-paharaṇaṃ mahat ||

हे रघुनन्दन! मुनि के मन में क्रोधयुक्त विचार उठा—‘यह सब देवताओं का ही किया हुआ है; मेरी महान् तपस्या को हर लेने का प्रयत्न है।’
