दिते: पुत्रा न तां राम जगृहुर्वरुणात्मजाम्।अदितेस्तु सुता वीर जगृहुस्तामनिन्दिताम्।।।।

Transliteration

diteḥ putrā na tāṃ rāma jagṛhur varuṇātmajām |

adites tu sutā vīra jagṛhus tāmaninditām ||

Translation

हे राम! दिति के पुत्रों ने वरुण की उस कन्या को स्वीकार नहीं किया; किंतु अदिति के पुत्रों ने, हे वीर, उस अनिन्द्य को स्वीकार कर लिया।
