और्ध्वदैहिकक्रिया-शोकविलापः
Obsequies for Daśaratha and the Brothers’ Lament
अभिपेतुस्ततस्सर्वे तस्यामात्याश्शुचिव्रतम्।।।।अन्तकाले निपतितं ययातिमृषयो यथा।
abhipetus tatas sarve tasyāmātyāḥ śucivratam |
antakāle nipatitaṃ yayātiṃ ṛṣayo yathā ||2.77.10||
तब उसके सभी मंत्री शुचिव्रत उस पुरुष के पास दौड़े—जैसे अन्तकाल में गिर पड़े ययाति के पास ऋषिगण दौड़ते हों।
Immediately all his counsellors ran towards him like the ascetics who raised Yayati, a man of pious vows, when he fell down at the final hour.
It reflects communal duty and compassionate support: ministers uphold dharma by protecting and steadying the rightful prince in crisis, just as sages uphold a fallen righteous figure.
Bharata is overcome (emotionally/physically), and the ministers hurry to assist him.
Bharata is described as śucivratā—morally disciplined; the ministers’ virtue is loyal service.
