दशरथस्य अन्त्येष्टि
विधानम् — Dasaratha’s Funeral Rites and Ayodhya’s Mourning
शिबिकाभिश्च यानैश्च यथार्हं तस्य योषितः।नगरा न्निर्ययुस्तत्र वृद्धैः परिवृता स्तदा।।2.76.19।।
śibikābhiś ca yānaiś ca yathārhaṃ tasya yoṣitaḥ |
nagarān niryayus tatra vṛddhaiḥ parivṛtās tadā || 2.76.19 ||
तब राजा की स्त्रियाँ, अपने-अपने पद के अनुसार, कुछ पालकियों में और कुछ रथ-वाहनों में, वृद्ध परिचारकों से घिरी हुई, नगर से उस स्थान की ओर निकल पड़ीं।
Thereafter, the courtesans weeping uncontrollably and, lamenting again and again, alighted from carriages on the bank of the river Sarayu.
