Your high-souled, brilliant father ever engaged in performing sacrifices and a refuge for the virtuous people, went the inevitable way every living being must follow (attained heaven).
Dharma is framed against impermanence: even righteous kings meet mortality, so one must act with Satya and duty rather than attachment.
Kaikeyī informs Bharata that Daśaratha has died.
Daśaratha’s kingly virtue—radiance, sacrificial piety, and being a refuge for the good.
