भरतवाक्यं—रामस्य पुनरायोध्यागमननिषेधः
Bharata’s Plea and Rama’s Refusal to Return
शिरसा त्वाऽभियाचेऽहं कुरुष्व करुणां मयि।बान्धवेषु च सर्वेषु भूतेष्विव महेश्वरः।।।।
śirasā tvā ’bhiyāce ’haṃ kuruṣva karuṇāṃ mayi | bāndhaveṣu ca sarveṣu bhūteṣv iva maheśvaraḥ ||
मैं सिर झुकाकर आपसे विनती करता हूँ—मुझ पर और हमारे समस्त बान्धवों पर वैसी ही करुणा कीजिए, जैसे महेश्वर समस्त प्राणियों पर दया करते हैं।
I beseech you with my head bowed low, show mercy on me and every one of our relations, like Maheswara showing compassion on all living beings.
