कच्चिद्दर्शयसे नित्यं मनुष्याणां विभूषितम्।उत्थायोत्थाय पूर्वाह्णे राजपुत्र महापथे।।।।
kaccid darśayase nityaṃ manuṣyāṇāṃ vibhūṣitam |
utthāyotthāya pūrvāhṇe rājaputra mahāpathe || 2.100.51 ||
हे राजपुत्र, क्या तुम प्रतिदिन प्रातःकाल बार-बार उठकर, भली-भाँति अलंकृत होकर, महापथ पर लोगों को अपना दर्शन देते हो?
O prince, I trust, you rise early daily and present yourself well-adomed to the people on the thoroughfare.
Righteous rule requires visibility and accountability: the king should be accessible to the public and disciplined in daily conduct, signaling order and respect for subjects.
