Sage Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It presents Gaṇeśa’s names as functional epithets—especially Vidhnarāṭ—showing him as the divine regulator and remover of obstacles, invoked to secure success and right order in sacred undertakings.
By encouraging remembrance of Gaṇeśa through his names and forms, it frames devotion as attentive nāma-smaraṇa that aligns the devotee with divine protection and auspiciousness before higher worship and study.
It supports the ritual principle used across Vedāṅga practice: begin recitation, study, and rites with an invocation to the obstacle-removing deity, ensuring clarity and completion of technical disciplines like Vyākaraṇa and Kalpa.
