अन्यथा पतितं विद्यात्कर्त्तापि ब्रह्महा भवेत् । र्मौजी विप्रस्य विज्ञेया धनुर्ज्या क्षत्त्रियस्य तु ॥ १६ ॥
anyathā patitaṃ vidyātkarttāpi brahmahā bhavet | rmaujī viprasya vijñeyā dhanurjyā kṣattriyasya tu || 16 ||
यदि यह नियम के विरुद्ध किया जाए, तो उसे पतन का कारण जानना चाहिए; और करने वाला भी ब्रह्महत्या के तुल्य पाप का भागी होता है। विप्र के लिए मौजी (मुंज की मेखला) और क्षत्रिय के लिए धनुष की ज्या (प्रतीक) कही गई है।
