अभीषुण ऋतावाहं न्यषीदन्नृमणा अपि । चतुर्विधाद्बाहुलकात्प्रवृत्तेरप्रवृत्तितः ॥ १८ ॥

ऋतु-प्रवाह (काल की गति) को देखकर भी बुद्धिमान जन संयम धारण कर बैठ जाते हैं; क्योंकि प्रवृत्ति और अप्रवृत्ति से उत्पन्न चार प्रकार की अत्यधिक बहुलता (विस्तार) के कारण मन स्थिर नहीं रहता॥१८॥
