Narada (in a synopsis/anukramanika context, traditionally in dialogue with Sanatkumara)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It compresses major Purāṇic lessons into a synopsis: worldly dynasties end (the Yādavas), ages change (Kali-yuga is foretold), yet liberation remains attainable (Parīkṣit’s mokṣa).
By emphasizing mokṣa even amid Kali-yuga’s decline, it supports the Purāṇic theme that turning to the Lord with faith—typical of Bhakti-oriented teaching—remains a viable means to liberation despite historical turmoil.
The verse primarily functions as an anukramaṇikā (topic-index) rather than a Vedāṅga lesson; practically, it signals Purāṇic time-reckoning (yuga framework) used alongside Jyotiṣa-style calendrical awareness for understanding Kali-yuga markers.
