Adhyaya 75 — The Fall and Restoration of Revatī Nakṣatra and the Birth of Raivata Manu
tasya manvantare devān munidevendrapārthivān | kathyamānān mayā brahman nibodha susamāhitaḥ ||
Purāṇic history is presented as a disciplined listening tradition (śravaṇa): attention (samāhita) is itself a prerequisite for receiving cosmological and dharmic knowledge.
Manvantara: the verse signals the canonical elements typically supplied for each manvantara—deities (devagaṇa), sages (saptarṣi), Indra, and royal lineages.
The fourfold enumeration (gods–sages–Indra–kings) mirrors a cosmic governance model: spiritual authority (ṛṣi), celestial administration (deva/Indra), and terrestrial order (rājā).
