Adhyaya 71 — The King’s Remorse and the Sage’s Counsel on the Necessity of a Wife
ब्राह्मण्याः दर्शनञ्चैव दौःशील्यापगमं तथा ।
प्रेषणं भर्तृगेहे च कार्यमागमने च यत् ॥
brāhmaṇyā darśanañ caiva dauḥśīlyāpagamaṃ tathā / preṣaṇaṃ bhartṛgehe ca kāryam āgamane ca yat
(उसने) ब्राह्मण स्त्री के दर्शन, अपवाद-कलंक के निवारण, उसे पति के घर भेजने, और कार्य होने पर (राक्षस के) आने के विषय में जो व्यवस्था हुई थी—यह सब भी बताया।
Dharma decisions require full context: the king presents all relevant particulars—harm, remedy, and ongoing obligations—so that the sage can prescribe a complete rectification.
