Tapas is presented as a real potency; the ascetic’s frailty is not weakness but the visible mark of concentrated spiritual power—warranting reverence and restraint.
Ākhyāna episode; not directly sarga/pratisarga/manvantara, but typical puranic moral narration about the force of tapas and consequences.
Kailāsa functions as a ‘high-frequency’ sacred space: ordinary social behavior is tested there. The emaciated body signifies ego-thinning; disrespect toward such a state invites karmic recoil.
