तथैव शाल्मले तेषां समनामानि सप्त वै । सप्त मेधातिथेः पुत्राः प्लक्षद्वीपेश्वरस्य वै ॥
tathaiva śālmale teṣāṃ samanāmāni sapta vai | sapta medhātitheḥ putrāḥ plakṣadvīpeśvarasya vai ||
इसी प्रकार शाल्मलद्वीप में भी उन्हीं नामों वाले सात प्रदेश प्रसिद्ध थे। और प्लक्षद्वीप के स्वामी मेधातिथि के सात पुत्र थे।
