Adhyaya 50 — Mind-Born Progeny, Svayambhuva Manu’s Lineage, and Brahmā’s Ordinance to Duḥsaha (Alakṣmī’s Retinue)
दुष्टं क्रुद्धार्तदत्तञ्च यक्ष तद्भागि तत्फलम् ।
यच्च पौनर्भवः किञ्चित् करोत्यमुष्मिकं क्रमम् ॥
duṣṭaṃ kruddhārta-dattañ ca yakṣa tad-bhāgī tat phalam |
yac ca paunarbhavaḥ kiñcit karoty āmuṣmikaṃ kramam ||
जो कुछ पापमय है, और जो कुछ क्रोध या क्लेश में दिया जाता है—हे यक्ष, उसके फल का एक भाग तुम्हें मिलता है। और जो कुछ ‘पौनर्भव’ परलोक-लक्ष्य से कर्म/विधि करता है, वह भी तुम्हारे खाते में जाता है।
