तेन दोषेण ता नेशुरौषध्यो मिषतां द्विज ।

अग्रसद् भूर्युगपत्तास्तदौषध्यो महामते ॥

tena doṣeṇa tā neśur auṣadhyo miṣatāṃ dvija /

agrasad bhūryugapattās tad-auṣadhyo mahāmate //

उस दोष के कारण, हे द्विज, वे औषधियाँ उनकी आँखों के सामने ही नष्ट हो गईं। वही औषधियाँ, हे विद्वन्, एक ही बार में बहुत अधिक मात्रा में खा ली गईं।
