शकटारूढभाण्डैश्च गोपालैर्विपणं विना ।
गोस्मूहैस्तथा घोषो यत्रेच्छाभूमिकेतनः ॥
śakaṭārūḍhabhāṇḍaiś ca gopālair vipaṇaṃ vinā / gosamūhais tathā ghoṣo yatreच्छābhūmiketanaḥ
जहाँ ग्वाले गाड़ियों पर सामान लादे हुए और गौ-समूहों सहित रहते हों, पर वहाँ बाजार न हो—ऐसा स्थान ‘घोष’ कहलाता है, जो इच्छानुसार उपलब्ध भूमि पर बसाया गया निवास है।
