Adhyaya 49 — Cosmic Dissolution
तेन वा वर्तयन्ति स्म मुखे त्रेयायुगस्य वै ।
ततः कालान्तरेणैव पुनर् लोभान्वितास् तु ताः ॥
tena vā vartayanti sma mukhe treyāyugasya vai | tataḥ kālāntareṇaiva punar lobhānvītās tu tāḥ ||
उसी मधु के द्वारा वे निश्चय ही त्रेता-युग के आरम्भ में जीवित रहे। फिर कुछ काल बीतने पर वे पुनः लोभ से ग्रस्त हो गए।
