Adhyaya 39 — Yoga Discipline: Posture, Breath Control, Sense Withdrawal, and Signs of Attainment
देशेष्वेतेषु तत्त्वज्ञो योगाभ्यासं विवर्जयेत् ।
सत्त्वस्यानुपपत्तौ च देशकालं विवर्जयेत् ॥
deśeṣv eteṣu tattva-jño yogābhyāsaṃ vivarjayet / sattvasyānupapattau ca deśa-kālaṃ vivarjayet
ऐसे स्थानों में तत्त्वज्ञ को योगाभ्यास से बचना चाहिए; और जब जहाँ सत्त्व (प्रसन्नता/सम्यक् संतुलन) उपलब्ध न हो, तब उस स्थान और उस समय का त्याग कर देना चाहिए।
