Adhyaya 35 — Madālasa’s Instruction on Purity, Impurity, and Corrective Rites (Śauca and Aśauca)
प्रोताय सलिलं देयं बहिर्दग्ध्वा तु गोत्रिकैः ।
प्रथमे 'ह्नि चतुर्थे च सप्तमे नवमे तथा ॥
protāya salilaṃ deyaṃ bahir dagdhvā tu gotrikaiḥ | prathame 'hni caturthe ca saptame navame tathā ||
मृतक को जलांजलि देनी चाहिए; और (बस्ती के) बाहर दाह संस्कार करके, गोत्र के बन्धुओं को पहले, चौथे, सातवें और नौवें दिन (क्रिया) करनी चाहिए।
