Adhyaya 23 — Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati
पुत्रावूचतुः परित्यज्य च स्त्रीभोगान् तात! सर्वंस्तया विना ।
क्रीडन्नास्ते समं तुल्यैर्वयस्यैः शीलसम्पदा ॥
putrāv ūcatuḥ parityajya ca strībhogān tāta sarvaṁ stayā vinā | krīḍann āste samaṁ tulyair vayasyaiḥ śīla-sampadā ||
दोनों पुत्र बोले—पिताजी, वह उस स्त्री के बिना स्त्रियों के साथ होने वाले समस्त भोग का त्याग कर चुका है। वह केवल अपने ही वय और स्वभाव के साथियों के साथ खेलता हुआ रहता है।
