Adhyaya 10 — Jaimini’s Questions on Birth, Death, Karma, and the Embodied Journey
avarohiṇīṃ ca samprāpya pūrvavad yānti mānavāḥ | etat te sarvam ākhyātaṃ yathā jantur vipadyate | ataḥ śṛṇuṣva viprarṣe yathā garbhaṃ prapadyate ||

The text pivots from outcomes (death/afterlife) to origins (conception), underscoring saṃsāra as a continuous causal chain; understanding the chain is meant to motivate dharmic restraint and higher aims.
Instructional/dharma-knowledge segment; it prepares for a ‘sarga-like’ micro-account (formation of the body) though not cosmic sarga proper.
‘Descent’ and ‘entry into the womb’ can be read as the jīva’s contraction into limitation—consciousness taking on name-and-form under prior impressions (vāsanā).
