Yuddha-yajña-vyākhyāna (The Battle as Sacrifice): Ambarīṣa–Indra Saṃvāda
दीपिचर्मावनद्धश्न नागदन्तकृतत्सरु: । हस्तिहस्तहर: खड्ग: स्फ्यो भवेत् तस्य संयुगे
dīpicarmāvanaddhaś ca nāgadantakṛtatsaruḥ | hastihastaharaḥ khaḍgaḥ sphyo bhavet tasya saṃyuge ||
अम्बरीष ने कहा—जो खड्ग चीते के चर्म की म्यान में बँधा हो, जिसकी मूठ हाथी-दाँत की बनी हो, और जो गजराज की सूँड़ तक काट दे—वही उस युद्ध में उसके लिए स्फ्य (रक्षा-उपकरण) के समान होता है।
