अस्तब्ध: पूजयेन्मान्यान् गुरून् सेवेदमायया । अर्चेद् देवानदम्भेन श्रियमिच्छेदकुत्सिताम्
astabdhaḥ pūjayen mānyān gurūn seved amāyayā | arced devān adambhena śriyam icched akutsitām ||
भীष्म ने कहा—अहंकार छोड़कर विनय से माननीय जनों का सत्कार करे। निष्कपट भाव से गुरुजनों की सेवा करे। दम्भरहित होकर देवताओं की पूजा करे। और धन-सम्पत्ति की इच्छा भी केवल अनिन्दित, शुद्ध उपायों से करे।
