अर्नीर्षर्गुप्तदार: स्याच्चोक्ष: स्थादघृणी नृप: । स्त्रिय: सेवेत नात्यर्थ मृष्ट भुज्जीत नाहितम्
anīrṣyā-rakṣa-gupta-dāraḥ syāc chokṣaḥ sthād aghṛṇī nṛpaḥ | striyaḥ seveta nātyarthaṃ mṛṣṭaṃ bhuñjīta nāhitam ||
भীष्म ने कहा—ईर्ष्या से रहित होकर अपनी पत्नी की रक्षा करे। राजा आचरण में शुद्ध रहे, पर किसी से घृणा न करे। स्त्रियों के संग का अत्यधिक सेवन न करे। शुद्ध, स्वादिष्ट और हितकर भोजन करे; अहितकर न खाए।
