पुत्र बवाच मृत्युनाभ्याहतो लोको जरया परिवारित: । अहोरात्रा: पतन्त्येते ननु कस्मान्न बुध्यसे
putra uvāca mṛtyunābhyāhato loko jarayā parivāritaḥ | ahorātrāḥ patanty ete nanu kasmān na budhyase ||
पुत्र ने कहा—पिताजी, यह लोक मृत्यु से आहत है और जरा से चारों ओर घिरा है। ये दिन-रात निरन्तर गिरते जा रहे हैं, प्राणियों की आयु का अपहरण करते हुए—फिर भी आप क्यों नहीं समझते?
