३३) अर्थात्‌ एक बार भी "मैं तेरा हूँ” यों कहकर मेरी शरणमें आये हुए और मुझसे अभय चाहनेवालेको मैं सभी भूतोंसे अभय कर देता हूँ, यह मेरा व्रत है।।

Transliteration

Translation

अर्जुन ने कहा—(यहाँ शरणागति का उपदेश है: जो एक बार भी ‘मैं तेरा हूँ’ कहकर भगवान् की शरण में आता और अभय चाहता है, उसे प्रभु सब प्राणियों से अभय करते हैं—यह उनका व्रत है। वे अव्यय, सबका कारण, ‘अव्यय बीज’ और प्रलय में जगत् के ‘निधान’ हैं। इसलिए स्थायी शान्ति और मोक्ष का मार्ग केवल कर्मकाण्ड या पद-प्रतिष्ठा नहीं, बल्कि निष्काम भक्ति और पूर्ण समर्पण है।)
