ratnāni ca mahārhāṇi vāsāṁsi vividhāni ca | taiḥ kāmaiḥ sarvasampūrṇaḥ pūjitaś ca mahīpatiḥ ||
The verse highlights a dharmic ideal of honoring a ruler or guest through appropriate offerings—valuable gifts and respectful reception—showing that social order and relationships are maintained through generosity and proper etiquette rather than mere display.
A Gandharva narrates that the king was received with honor and provided with coveted items—costly jewels and varied garments—indicating a formal, ceremonious welcome and the king’s being fully supplied through gifts.
