भोजनीयानि पेयानि भक्ष्याणि विविधानि च । लेह्यान्यमृतकल्पानि चोष्याणि च तथार्जुन
bhojanīyāni peyāni bhakṣyāṇi vividhāni ca | lehyāny amṛtakalpāni coṣyāṇi ca tathārjuna ||
गन्धर्व ने कहा— यहाँ खाने योग्य अन्न, पीने योग्य पेय, और चबाने योग्य नाना प्रकार के भक्ष्य हैं; अमृत-तुल्य स्वाद वाले लेह्य (चटनी आदि) भी हैं, और चूसने योग्य पदार्थ भी—हे अर्जुन।
गन्धर्व उवाच
The verse highlights the cultural ethic of honoring a guest or esteemed person through generous offering—abundance presented with refinement—reflecting social dharma expressed as hospitality and proper reception.
A Gandharva addresses Arjuna and enumerates an array of refreshments—foods, drinks, chewables, lickables, and suckables—describing them as nectar-like, indicating a lavish offering or reception in the ongoing episode.
