Adhyaya 89: शौचाचारलक्षणम् — सदाचार, भैक्ष्यचर्या, प्रायश्चित्त, द्रव्यशुद्धि, आशौच-निर्णय

अग्नेर् अपां च संयोगाद् अत्यन्तोपहतस्य च रसानामिह सर्वेषां शुद्धिरुत्प्लवनं स्मृतम्

Transliteration

agner apāṃ ca saṃyogād atyantopahatasya ca rasānāmiha sarveṣāṃ śuddhirutplavanaṃ smṛtam

Translation

अग्नि और जल के संयोग से—अत्यन्त दूषित हो जाने पर भी—यहाँ समस्त रसों (यज्ञीय द्रव्यों) की शुद्धि ‘उत्प्लवन’ कही गई है।
