It shifts emphasis from external offerings to inner Linga-worship as dhyāna-yajña—an inward sacrifice suited to renunciants, where the mind itself becomes the altar for Pati (Śiva).
By requesting a complete teaching on dhyāna-yajña, it implies Śiva is realized through direct contemplative worship—beyond mere ritual—where the pashu approaches Pati by dissolving pasha through dispassion and meditation.
Dhyāna-yajña: a yogic form of worship aligned with Pāśupata discipline—systematic meditation taught in detail for the virakta (detached) seekers.
