उमामहेश्वरव्रतं—पञ्चाक्षरमन्त्रस्य माहात्म्यं, न्यासः, जपविधिः, सदाचारः, विनियोगः

एवं तुष्टो गुरुः शिष्यं पूजितं वत्सरोषितम् शुश्रूषुम् अनहङ्कारम् उपवासकृशं शुचिम्

Transliteration

evaṃ tuṣṭo guruḥ śiṣyaṃ pūjitaṃ vatsaroṣitam śuśrūṣum anahaṅkāram upavāsakṛśaṃ śucim

Translation

इस प्रकार संतुष्ट गुरु ने उस शिष्य को देखा—जिसने पूजा की थी और एक वर्ष तक सेवा में रहा था—सेवा‑तत्पर, अहंकार‑रहित, उपवास से कृश और शुद्ध।
