उमामहेश्वरव्रतं—पञ्चाक्षरमन्त्रस्य माहात्म्यं, न्यासः, जपविधिः, सदाचारः, विनियोगः

भक्ष्यं चान्यत्तथा पेयं विषमप्यमृतं भवेत् जपेल् लक्षं तु पूर्वाह्णे हुत्वा चाष्टशतेन वै

Transliteration

bhakṣyaṃ cānyattathā peyaṃ viṣamapyamṛtaṃ bhavet japel lakṣaṃ tu pūrvāhṇe hutvā cāṣṭaśatena vai

Translation

भोजन और पेय आदि, चाहे जैसे भी हों, विषैले भी हों तो अमृत-तुल्य हो जाते हैं। पूर्वाह्न में एक लाख जप करके, फिर अग्नि में आठ सौ आहुतियाँ देनी चाहिए।
