उमामहेश्वरव्रतं—पञ्चाक्षरमन्त्रस्य माहात्म्यं, न्यासः, जपविधिः, सदाचारः, विनियोगः

यस्मादाचारहीनस्य साधनं निष्फलं भवेत् आचारः परमो धर्म आचारः परमं तपः

Transliteration

yasmādācārahīnasya sādhanaṃ niṣphalaṃ bhavet ācāraḥ paramo dharma ācāraḥ paramaṃ tapaḥ

Translation

क्योंकि आचार-हीन व्यक्ति के लिए समस्त साधन निष्फल हो जाते हैं। आचार ही परम धर्म है और आचार ही परम तप है—जो पाशों को गलाकर पशु को पती-शिव की ओर ले जाता है।
