वासिष्ठकथनम् (आदित्य–सोमवंशवर्णनम् तथा रुद्रसहस्रनाम-प्रशंसा)

सहस्राक्षो विशालाक्षः सोमो नक्षत्रसाधकः चन्द्रः सूर्यः शनिः केतुर् ग्रहो ग्रहपतिर्मतः

Transliteration

sahasrākṣo viśālākṣaḥ somo nakṣatrasādhakaḥ candraḥ sūryaḥ śaniḥ ketur graho grahapatirmataḥ

Translation

वे सहस्राक्ष, विशालाक्ष हैं; वे सोम हैं, नक्षत्रों के साधक-नियन्ता हैं। वे चन्द्र और सूर्य हैं; वे शनि और केतु हैं। वे समस्त ग्रह-तत्त्व हैं और ग्रहपति माने जाते हैं।
