या सा घोरतरा मूर्तिरस्य तेजामयी परा / संहरेद् विद्यया सर्वं संसारं शूलभृत् तया
yā sā ghoratarā mūrtirasya tejāmayī parā / saṃhared vidyayā sarvaṃ saṃsāraṃ śūlabhṛt tayā
उसकी जो परम तेजोमयी, अत्यन्त घोर रूप वाली मूर्ति है—उसी दिव्य विद्या-शक्ति से शूलधारी समस्त संसार-चक्र का संहार कर देते हैं।

With Viṣṇu (as Kūrma) teaching and explicitly praising Śiva (the Trident-bearer) as the agent of cosmic withdrawal through supreme knowledge, it reflects the Kūrma Purāṇa’s non-sectarian synthesis: one supreme reality expressed through complementary divine functions.
