मैत्रेय उवाच यदा स्वभार्यया सार्धं जात: स्वायम्भुवो मनु: । प्राञ्जलि: प्रणतश्चेदं वेदगर्भमभाषत ॥ ६ ॥
maitreya uvāca yadā sva-bhāryayā sārdhaṁ jātaḥ svāyambhuvo manuḥ prāñjaliḥ praṇataś cedaṁ veda-garbham abhāṣata
मैत्रेय मुनि बोले—जब स्वायम्भुव मनु अपनी पत्नी सहित प्रकट हुए, तब उन्होंने हाथ जोड़कर और प्रणाम करके वेद-गर्भ ब्रह्मा से इस प्रकार निवेदन किया।
