Kṛṣṇa Visits Indraprastha; Kuntī’s Remembrance; Kālindī and Further Marriages
tatropaspṛśya viśadaṁ pītvā vāri mahā-rathau kṛṣṇau dadṛśatuḥ kanyāṁ carantīṁ cāru-darśanām
‘Upaspṛśya’ indicates ritual purification by touching or washing with water; here it shows Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma cleansing themselves before continuing their journey.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī narrates that Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, after bathing and drinking clear water, notice a beautiful maiden wandering nearby—setting up the next episode of the chapter.
The verse highlights purity and attentiveness: begin actions with cleanliness (outer and inner) and remain alert to how providence arranges meaningful encounters on one’s path.
