Sukta 17
नास्य धेनुः कल्याणी नानड्वान्त्सहते धुरम्। विजानिर्यत्र ब्रह्मणो रात्रिं वसति पापया
nā́sya dhenúḥ kalyāṇī́ nā́naḍvā́n sahate dhúram | vijā́nir yátra brahmáṇo rā́triṃ vásati pā́payā
No thriving milch-cow is his; no draught-ox bears the yoke—where discord is, and where the Brahman passes the night in evil wise.
उसकी कोई कल्याणी, दूध देने वाली धेनु नहीं रहती; न कोई बैल जुए का भार सहता है—जहाँ फूट-कलह है, और जहाँ ब्राह्मण पाप-रीति से रात्रि बिताता है।
