Sukta 8
यदसावमुतो देवा अदेवः संश्चिकीर्षति । मा तस्याग्निर्हव्यं वाक्षीद्धवं देवा अस्य मोप गुर्ममैव हवमेतन
yád asā́v amúto devā́ adeváḥ sáṃścikīrṣati | mā́ tásyāgnír havyaṃ vā́kṣīd hávaṃ devā́ asyá mópa gúḥ | mámā́iva hávam ítana ||
If yonder godless man from there devise some deed, O Gods—let not his Agni bear the oblation, nor his call. O Gods, go not unto him: to my call alone do ye resort.
यदि वहाँ का वह अदेव (देव-विरोधी) पुरुष कोई कार्य रचने लगे, हे देवो—उसका अग्नि न तो हवि (आहुति) वहन करे, न उसका हव (आह्वान)। हे देवो, उसके पास मत जाओ; केवल मेरे ही हव (आह्वान) पर तुम आकर ठहरो।
