Sukta 37
सद्यश्चिन्नु ते मघवन्नभिष्टौ नरः शंसन्त्युक्थशास उक्था। ये ते हवेभिर्वि पणींरदाशन्नस्मान् वृणीष्व युज्याय तस्मै
sadyáś cin nú te maghavann abhíṣṭau náraḥ śaṃsanty ukthaśā́sa ukthā́ | yé te hávebhir ví paṇī́n adā́śann asmā́n vṛṇīṣva yújyāya tásmai
Even straightway now, O Bounteous, in thy praise, men—hymn-reciting chanters—proclaim their hymns; they who, by their invocations, made the Paṇis yield and scatter. Choose us for comradeship, for that yoking unto the task.
हे मघवन् (उदार दाता) इन्द्र! अभी भी, इसी क्षण, तेरी अभिष्टुति में उक्थ-पाठ करने वाले नर अपने उक्थों से तेरा यश गाते हैं। जिन्होंने अपने हवनों/आह्वानों से पणियों को तितर-बितर कर दिया और उनसे धन छुड़ाया—उस कर्म-योजन के लिए हमें अपना सहचर चुन ले।
