अस्मा इदु त्वष्टा तक्षद् वज्रं स्वपस्तमं स्वर्यं१ रणाय । वृत्रस्य चिद् विदद् येन मर्म तुजन्नीशानस्तुजता कियेधाः

IAST Transliteration

asmā́ id u tváṣṭā takṣád vájraṃ svápastamaṃ svaryáṃ raṇā́ya | vṛtrásya cid vídad yéna márma tujánn īśā́nas tujátā kiyedhā́ḥ

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

To him, yea verily, Tvaṣṭṛ fashioned the thunderbolt—most excellent in work, heaven-winning—for the battle; whereby he found, even of Vṛtra, the vital spot: thrusting, the sovereign, urged on to smite—how resistless in his onset!

Translation

उसके लिए ही—त्वष्टा ने युद्ध के लिए वज्र गढ़ा—कर्म में परम-उत्तम, स्वर्ग-विजयी; जिससे उसने वृत्र का भी मर्म (जीवन-स्थान) खोज लिया। भेदता हुआ, अधिपति, प्रहार के लिए प्रेरित—उसका आक्रमण कितना अजेय है!
