vy àntárikṣam atiran máde sómasya rocanā́ | índro yád abhinad válam

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Forth through the mid-air passed the shining realms, in Soma’s rapture, when Indra clave the Vala.

Translation

सोम के मद में, अन्तरिक्ष में रोचन (दीप्तिमय लोक/प्रकाश-प्रदेश) फैल गए—जब इन्द्र ने वल (वल-गुहा/आवरण) को चीर डाला।
