Sukta 25
आदङ्गिराः प्रथमं दधिरे वय इद्धाग्नयः शम्या ये सुकृत्यया । सर्वं पणेः समविन्दन्त भोजनमश्वावन्तं गोमन्तमा पशुं नरः
ā́d aṅgirā́ḥ prathamáṃ dadhire váya iddhā́gnayaḥ śamyā́ yé sukṛtyáyā | sárvaṃ paṇéḥ sám avindanta bhójanam aśvā́vantaṃ gómantam ā́ paśúṃ náraḥ ||
Then the Angirases first established vital power; the kindled Fires, by the Śamyā, they who by well-wrought rite. All sustenance from the Paṇi they won back together—food rich in horses, rich in kine, yea, cattle besides—for men.
तब अङ्गिरसों ने सबसे पहले प्राण-बल (वयः) को स्थापित किया; शम्या के द्वारा प्रज्वलित अग्नियों ने—वे जो सु-कृत्य (सुयज्ञ) से सम्पन्न थे—यह किया। उन्होंने पणे (Paṇi) से समस्त भोजन-संपदा एकत्र वापस पा ली—अश्व-समृद्ध, गो-समृद्ध, और पशुओं सहित—मनुष्यों के लिए।
