Sukta 5
महादेव एनमिष्वास ऊर्ध्वाया दिशो अन्तर्देशादनुष्ठातानु तिष्ठति नैनं शर्वो न भवो नेशानः
mahādevá enam iṣvā́sá ūrdhvā́yā diśó antardeśā́d anuṣṭhātā́ ánu tiṣṭhati náinam śarvó ná bhavó néśānaḥ
Mahādeva, the Archer, from the mid-region of the Upward Quarter, standeth attending after him; him neither Śarva, nor Bhava, nor Īśāna injureth.
ऊर्ध्व दिशा के अन्तर्देश (मध्य-प्रदेश) से महादेव—धनुर्धर—उसके पीछे अनुष्ठाता-रक्षक होकर खड़ा रहता है; उसे न शर्व, न भव, न ईशान हानि पहुँचाते हैं।
