Sukta 3
वर्षं वनुष्वापि गच्छ देवांस्त्वचो धूमं पर्युत् पातयासि । विश्वव्यचा घृतपृष्ठो भविष्यन्त्सयोनिर्लोकमुप याह्येतम्
várṣaṃ vanuṣvā́pi gaccha devā́ṃs tvacó dhūmáṃ páry ut pā́tayāsi | viśvávyacā́ ghṛtápṛṣṭho bhaviṣyánt sáyonir lokám úpa yāhy etám ||
Win thou the rain, and go moreover unto the Gods: from off the skin thou sendest forth, and drivest round about, the smoke. All-pervading, ghee-backed, about to be of one womb, go thou unto this world, approach this realm.
वर्षा को जीत/प्राप्त कर, और आगे देवों के पास जा; त्वचा से तू धूम्र को बाहर भेजता है और चारों ओर घुमाकर उड़ा देता है। सर्वव्यापी, घृत-पृष्ठ (घी-आधार/घी-पीठ वाला), एक-योनि होने को उद्यत, तू इस लोक की ओर जा—इस धाम/राज्य के निकट पहुँच।
