नवं बर्हिरोदनाय स्तृणीत प्रियं हृदश्चक्षुषो वल्ग्वऽस्तु । तस्मिन् देवाः सह दैवीर्विशन्त्विमं प्राश्नन्त्वृतुभिर्निषद्य

IAST Transliteration

návaṃ barhír odanā́ya stṛṇīta priyáṃ hṛdáś cákṣuṣo valgú astu | tásmin devā́ḥ sahá daivī́r viśantu imáṃ prā́śnantu ṛtúbhir niṣádya ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Strew new barhis for the rice-dish; let it be dear to heart and lovely to the eye. Thereon let the Gods enter, with the divine Powers beside them; let them partake of this, seated with the ordered Seasons.

Translation

ओदन (चावल-भोग) के लिए नया बर्हिस बिछाओ; वह हृदय को प्रिय और नेत्रों को मनोहर हो। उस पर देव, दैवी शक्तियों के साथ, प्रवेश करें; ऋतुओं के क्रम सहित बैठकर, वे इसका प्राशन करें।
