Sukta 3
अयं ग्रावा पृथुबुध्नो वयोधाः पूतः पवित्रैरप हन्तु रक्षः । आ रोह चर्म महि शर्म यच्छ मा दंपती पौत्रमघं नि गाताम्
ayáṃ grā́vā pr̥thubúdhno vayodhā́ḥ pūtáḥ pavítrair ápa hantu rákṣaḥ | ā róha cárma máhi śárma yaccha mā dámpatī páutram agháṃ ní gātām ||
This stone, broad-based, life-sustaining, purified with purifiers, shall smite away the Rákṣas. Mount thou the hide; vouchsafe great shelter: let not the wedded pair fall down into evil that toucheth their descendants.
यह ग्रावा (पाषाण), चौड़े आधार वाला, प्राण-धारक, पवित्रों से शुद्ध किया हुआ, रक्षस् को दूर हनन करे। तुम चर्म पर आरोहण करो; महान् आश्रय प्रदान करो। दम्पती अपने पौत्रों तक पहुँचने वाले पाप/अनिष्ट में न गिरें।
